Weather
• -15 °C • 3 m/s from SW ↗ • 20% clouds
Tests
• ECTN20@15cm • It seemed to break just at the top of the depth hoar with huge crystals on the under side of the slab. It surprised me with the hardness of the lowest layer. No propagation and not much movement when it collapsed.
Snow Profile
• E • 16° • Persistent weak layer: below slab, near surface
Notes
• Dug a pit to keep in practice and hope it helps show thin patches of snow that are many places right now. Solid ice underneath the ice.
